"The Alternative To Boat Ownership"

trans9x9.gif (820 bytes)More and more boaters are finding that they have less time and money to enjoy Michigan's limited boating season.  Take advantage of an exciting new alternative.

trans9x9.gif (820 bytes)Our concept is refreshing.....And simple!  Imagine walking up to a clean boat in early May, using the boat all summer, and walking away from the boat in late October.  Here is the best part.  You never have to worry about all the headaches of boat ownership:  maintenance, upkeep, summer dockage, winter storage, boat payments, initial investment to buy a boat, winter storage, and insurance premiums.  Do we need to say more?

trans9x9.gif (820 bytes)We have a fleet of boats that you can choose from.  You can boat all season with the Boat Club for less than the cost of dockage and storage fees. (Click To See Fleet Power Boat Rentals or Sail Boat Rentals)

trans9x9.gif (820 bytes)We offer 21 weeks of boating to Boat Club Members, May 1 through September 30.  Our facility is open 7 days a week.  There are two periods in a 24 hour day  ---  9 AM to 4 PM and 5 PM to 8 AM.  Club Members can book two reservations for separate calendar days or a maximum of three consecutive periods (36 hours).  Your membership entitles you to use our vessels during both weekday and prime time periods.  Prime time periods are Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays.

trans9x9.gif (820 bytes)You can choose between two packages:  The Commodore Membership and The Skipper Membership.  As a Commodore Member you receive 18 reservation periods (10 prime time & eight weekday periods).  The Skipper Membership provides 10 reservation periods (six prime time & four weekday periods).   Club Members can book two reservations for separate calendar days or a maximum of three consecutive periods (36 hours).  In addition to you reservation periods, you can purchase extra eight hour periods at our Daily Hour Rate.

trans9x9.gif (820 bytes)All members and non-member renters are required to pass an in-water check out for docking and boat handling.  You need to show proficiency and working knowledge of radio procedures, local navigation, rules of the road, and basic seamanship.  All "check outs" are a maximum of 3 hours ($25.00 per hour) plus fuel.

trans9x9.gif (820 bytes)

Boat Club Members are required to pay the following  one time fees:
  • Maintenance and cleaning ($95.00).
  • Towing Service ($85.00).
  • Power boat members, pump-outs ($85.00).
  • Sail boat members, pump-out and fuel ($95.00).
trans9x9.gif (820 bytes)A refundable damage deposit is required for all members and non-members renters upon boarding a vessel (power boats $800.00, sailboats $500.00). Cash or Certified Checks only.  Credit Cards are not accepted.
